Oscar Garcia pleased by Brighton & Hove Albion response

Oscar Garcia pays tribute to Brighton & Hove Albion after recovering from a goal down against Watford.

Oscar Garcia has praised his Brighton & Hove Albion players for their reaction to falling behind against Watford on Monday night in the Championship.

Sean Murray gave the Hornets a fourth-minute lead at the Amex Stadium, but Andrew Crofts struck shortly after half time to ensure that the Seagulls earned a share of the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

Gianfranco Zola has since called for goal-line technology in the division after Fernando Forestieri was denied doubling Watford's lead early in the second half when it appeared that his shot had crossed the line before being cleared by Gordon Greer.

"From my position it was impossible to see," Garcia told reporters. "I didn't ask Gordon about it.

"We played well in the first half and deserved more than to go in 1-0 down. In the second half, they had chances and so did we.

"It's not the first time the opposition has scored with a deflection against us this season, but I'm happy with the reaction of my players and how they played against one of the best teams in the Championship."

The Premier League have been using the Hawkeye system since the start of this season.
