Brighton & Hove Albion to sign Dan Burn from Wigan Athletic?

Brighton & Hove Albion will sign centre-back Dan Burn from Wigan Athletic and loan him straight back to the Latics, according to a report.

Wigan Athletic defender Dan Burn is reportedly close to joining Brighton & Hove Albion in a deal that will see him sent straight back on loan to his current club.

The 26-year-old, who has 95 appearances under his belt for the Latics, is said to have been lined up as Brighton's 11th signing of a busy summer.

According to The Sun, however, Burn will spend the first half of 2018-19 back on loan with Wigan, and possibly the duration of the season if all parties are happy in January.

Burn, a free signing from Fulham in 2016, has also previously spent time with Yeovil Town and Birmingham City.

The most recent of Albion's confirmed signings is winger Billy Arce, who joined from Ecuadorian side Independiente del Valle for an undisclosed fee on Tuesday.
