Burnley and Hull remain goalless at the halfway stage of their Championship match this evening.

Neither Burnley nor Hull City could find the opening goal in the first half of their Championship encounter this evening.

Hull almost made a perfect start to the match when David Meyler found an unmarked Stephen Quinn in the very first minute, only for the Hull midfielder to head his effort wide.

Alexander Kacaniklic came close to breaking the deadlock when the ball fell to him after a scramble in the Hull area, but the Swede fired his shot wide.

The hosts were the first to test the opposition keeper when Ross Wallace let fly from 30 yards out in the 18th minute. David Stockdale was equal to it, although he needed to be at full stretch to keep it out.

Alex Bruce had a chance to nick a late goal for the visitors when the ball came out to him on the edge of the box, but his volley flew a long way over the bar as both sides went into the break all square.
