Sean Dyche is pleased with Burnley's 1-1 draw at Stoke City, dubbing the bet365 Stadium a "strange place to come" given their Premier League relegation worries.

Sean Dyche has praised Burnley for claiming a point in a "strange" game at Stoke City on Sunday.

The Clarets fell behind when Badou Ndiaye rifled home an 11th-minute opener via a deflection but were level just after the hour through Ashley Barnes's sixth goal in eight games.

Dyche acknowledged that Stoke "have a lot going on", given their relegation struggles, and praised Potters goalkeeper Jack Butland for his man-of-the-match performance in the 1-1 draw.

"It's a good point, a strange place to come - they have their own things to fight for," Dyche told BBC Sport. "We've got points on the board and seeing if we can finish strong.

"Their keeper was man of the match and I think that's the story of the game. On another day you might nick another one and get a 2-1.

"It's nothing to do [with European football at the moment], I allow them to get on with it, Stoke have a lot going on and we weren't sure how that would play out."

Burnley remain seventh in the table, six points behind Arsenal.
