Burnley confirm that Charlie Austin's proposed move to Hull City has collapsed due to "unforeseen complications".

Burnley have confirmed that striker Charlie Austin's proposed move to Hull City has collapsed.

It emerged this morning that the 24-year-old failed a medical yesterday due to "unforeseen complications".

A statement on the club's official website read: "Burnley striker Charlie Austin will not be joining Hull City after unforeseen complications halted a proposed move to the KC Stadium. Austin remains a Burnley player and the club will make no further comment at his time."

Austin, who scored 28 goals last season, has also been linked with moves to Southampton and Celtic.
