Burton Albion have announced that Stuart Beavon has joined the League Two side on a season-long loan from Preston North End.
The 30-year-old striker featured in 32 games for Preston last season, scoring three goals.
He told BBC Sport: "This club has what it takes to get promoted.
"Having been involved at Preston in the playoffs last season, I didn't really want to leave League One, but having seen what this club can do I'm really looking forward to joining up with the lads and getting started."
Burton face Oxford United in their opening match of the season on August 16.
