Neil Warnock slams Nuno Espirito Santo for refusing to shake his hand in the immediate aftermath of Wolverhampton Wanderers' win over Cardiff City.

Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock has hit out at 'disgraceful' opposite number Nuno Espirito Santo for refusing to shake his hand following Wolverhampton Wanderers' dramatic 1-0 victory on Friday night.

Wanderers' coaching staff charged onto the pitch as soon as the full-time whistle sounded at the Cardiff City Stadium, coming moments after the hosts had missed the second of two stoppage-time penalties.

Nuno was not around to offer his hand to Warnock in the immediate aftermath of the game, though he did approach the Bluebirds boss on the field a couple of minutes later and also apologised in his TV interview.

Warnock was unwilling to accept the apology, though, telling reporters at his post-match press conference: "I don't give a toss what he says. He's totally out of order. In British football you shake the manager's hand and I think it showed a lack of class.

"I went to shake his hand and he ran off. If that's what he does in Portugal then fair enough but not in Britain. He can say anything after the game; the etiquette and manners, you don't have to run off like that and rub your nose in it. It's a disgrace."

Wolves moved nine points clear of Cardiff courtesy of the victory in South Wales, with Ruben Neves's long-range free kick proving the difference.
