Cardiff City striker Rhys Healey joins Colchester United on loan

Colchester United sign Rhys Healey on loan from Cardiff City.

Cardiff City striker Rhys Healey has signed for Colchester United on loan, subject to international clearance.

Healey, 20, made his first Premier League appearance for Cardiff last season against Chelsea.

The striker told the official club website: "I can't wait to get going, get some experience under my belt and show my ability.

"I am really enjoying my time at Cardiff and still have two more years there yet, but this is a good chance for me to get out and play first-team football and help Colchester."

Healey signed for the Bluebirds from Gap Connah's Quay in 2014 after scoring 12 goals in 20 appearances.
