Carlisle United boss Greg Abbott has revealed that former St Mirren striker Lewis Guy has agreed to join the club this summer.
The 27-year-old, who began his career with Newcastle United, is expected to officially put pen to paper this week.
"I have had a conversation with Lewis and verbally we are both agreed on something," Abbott told the News & Star.
"John [Nixon, managing director] has okayed it in principle. It just needs Lewis to finally agree and for John to find some pieces of paper with all those figures on and for Lewis to sign it.
"Lewis has said this is the happiest he has been in his football for a long time. He likes the fact he is a senior player and can help our younger ones and when you see him chasing after causes up at the top of the pitch, it's a great fillip for us. I thought he was terrific against Bolton."
Guy has also previously played for Doncaster Rovers and MK Dons.
