Catania coach Rolando Maran wants desire for Bologna trip

Catania boss Rolando Maran calls for his side to keep defying the odds this weekend by taking the points against Bologna.

Catania manager Rolando Maran has called for his team to to maintain their strong attitude and focus of recent weeks to get a result at Bologna.

Maran's side have lost just one of their opening six Serie A matches, including impressive performances against Serie A giants Roma and Napoli. Catania travel to Bologna on Sunday, and Maran is confident that his team are capable of taking all three points.

He told reporters: "It is important that Catania show the same desire to get a result against Bologna.

"It is difficult to conquer the Stadio Dall'Ara, but we will try. Bologna play very well and always try to take the initiative with players of great quality.

"It's up to us to prove we can fight hard in these games as well and adopt the right attitude. If some newspapers give us up for dead, then we react with pride. Every day we must give more."

Catania have adapted well to life under Maran and sit in eighth place in Serie A after six games.
