Nolito: 'I could have left Celta Vigo in January'

Celta Vigo attacker Nolito reveals that he had the chance to leave his Spanish club in January and received offers from the Premier League.

Spanish international Nolito has revealed that he could have left Celta Vigo in the January transfer window.

The 29-year-old, who has just returned from a two-month injury lay-off, was strongly linked with a move to Barcelona in the winter transfer window, while Arsenal were also said to be interested in his services.

Nolito has claimed that he could have made the move to England at the start of 2016, but was informed by his club that they had no intention of letting him leave.

"In December I had offers from England, China, Russia, Dubai, but I'm happy at Celta and I want to play at the Euros. The Celta president told me that he wouldn't sell me. I said to him that's just fine by me," Nolito told Marca.

Nolito has scored nine times in 18 La Liga appearances for Celta this season.
