Neil Lennon criticises "lazy" players

Neil Lennon accuses his Celtic players of being "lazy" during the 3-3 draw against St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has accused his players of being "lazy" following their 3-3 draw against St Johnstone.

The Hoops missed out on the opportunity to break the 100-point barrier, having seen the Saints score twice late on to rescue a point.

"I wasn't happy with our defending for the final two goals - I thought we were lazy," Lennon is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail. "I can't be too critical of my players. Since we won the league, we've won five and drawn two, so they've kept their momentum going.

"It was a game of two halves. We were poor in the first half but very good in the second. We threw away two goals at the end, which is disappointing, but we made the changes because we wanted to give some players a game.

"There was a disjointed look about us in the first half – we didn't play well at all. We decided to make the changes at half-time but, having said that, over the piece a draw was a fair result."

Celtic will lift the league title in front of their home supporters on Saturday.
