Retired sprinter Usain Bolt is reportedly close to agreeing a six-week trial period with Australian side Central Coast Mariners.

Central Coast Mariners have reportedly indicated that they are willing to offer a trial period to Usain Bolt.

The former Jamaican sprinter is keen to earn a contract at a professional club but so far, the 31-year-old has failed to earn a deal with either Borussia Dortmund or Stromsgodset.

However, according to The Sun, Bolt will be provided with the opportunity to impress in Australia with Central Coast Mariners.

The report suggests that Bolt will spend six weeks on trial at the A-League side with the possibility of a full-time deal should he be able to make an impact.

Last season, Central Coast Mariners finished at the bottom of the league standings with just four wins from their 27 matches.
