Ten-man Charlton Athletic hold Derby County

Charlton Athletic hold Derby County to a 1-1 draw in their Championship clash at The Valley.

Derby County have been held to a 1-1 draw by 10-man Charlton Athletic at The Valley this afternoon.

The deadlock was broken in spectacular fashion by Danny Haynes, who drifted inside from the left before unleashing a thunderous effort that found the top corner.

Jamie Ward sent Ben Hamer the wrong way to level the scoreline with 20 minutes remaining.

The Rams nearly took the lead just moments later, but Hamer was on hand to deny both Connor Sammon and Theo Robinson

The hosts defended well as Nigel Clough's men continued to threaten and managed to hang on for a point.
