Cesc Fabregas: 'Chelsea will not sit back in second leg'

Cesc Fabregas insists that Chelsea will adopt a positive approach when they take on Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of their Champions League tie.

Cesc Fabregas has claimed that Chelsea will look to get onto the front foot from the first whistle when they take on Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

Jose Mourinho's side hold a slight advantage in the Champions League last-16 tie thanks to an away goal in a 1-1 draw last month, and Fabregas insists that Chelsea are eager to put the visitors under pressure with a positive approach at Stamford Bridge.

"We know PSG are a great team and we respect them a lot, but that doesn't mean they scare us. We will push to win from the start. We will go to chase the game and not just sit back and see what happens," the Spanish midfielder told reporters.

"From my experience, especially with the national team, when we mentally unlocked that fear of a quarter-final or the really big stage, that was when we felt we could become champions. Once we were champions we were unstoppable.

"That's what we have to do. Take any fear out when we are on the pitch tomorrow, believe we are the best, and be mentally dominant and mentally ready to cope with every situation."

Chelsea head into the match on an eight-game unbeaten run in all competitions.
