Frank Lampard says that he will not retire from international football after being withdrawn from Euro 2012 through injury.

Frank Lampard has refused to give up on his England career after injury forced him to withdraw from the Three Lions' Euro 2012 squad.

The Chelsea midfielder was replaced in Roy Hodgson's 23-man party by Liverpool's Jordan Henderson after sustaining a thigh injury in training.

While 33-year-old Lampard admits that he is unlikely to play for his country at another major championships, he has no intention of retiring from the international game.

He told Absolute Radio: "I don't know [if I could play at World Cup 2014], I'm taking it as it comes at the minute.

"I'm certainly not pulling out after the Euros, but Brazil at 36 would be some feat for me in that heat.

"It would be an amazing trip."

Lampard has been capped 90 times by England, scoring 23 goals.
