£50m signing Fernando Torres scores for Chelsea for the first time since October in their FA Cup tie with Leicester.

Fernando Torres has ended a spell of over 24 hours without a goal by scoring for Chelsea in their FA Cup tie against Leicester City this afternoon.

The Blues record signing has struggled to settle at Stamford Bridge since his £50m move from Liverpool last January, having previously netted just five goals in 51 appearances.

However the Spaniard brought his barren run to an end when he scuffed a shot pass Foxes keeper Kasper Schmeichel following Raul Meireles's pass.

Torres's last goal came in Chelsea's Champions League win over Belgian side Genk in October.

After waiting for over a day for a goal, Torres went onto net again just 18 minutes later when he headed in Meireles's cross.

Chelsea won the match 5-2 to progress into the semi-finals.
