Chelsea are handed a boost with winger Christian Pulisic able to return to training after missing seven weeks with an ankle injury.

Christian Pulisic handed Chelsea a timely boost by making a return to training on Thursday.

Thomas Tuchel is currently dealing with a lengthy injury list at Stamford Bridge with the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku all on the sidelines.

Pulisic has spent the longest time in the treatment room after suffering an ankle problem while on international duty with the United States in September.

However, the Daily Mail says that the 23-year-old was able to make an appearance in training on Thursday.

While an immediate return to the first-team squad appears unlikely, Pulisic may target an outing when Chelsea face Malmo in the Champions League next week.

The winger has not featured for Chelsea since scoring against Crystal Palace on the opening day of the season.
