Roman Abramovich reported;y doesn't intend to sack Andre Villas-Boas.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has no intention to sack current manager Andre Villas-Boas in spite of the club's recent struggles, according to a report.

The Russian, who is understood to be a great fan of the former Porto boss, had a huge role in his appointment at Stamford Bridge and will provide him with as much support as he can, according to The Telegraph.

That support is reported to include bidding for at least one marquee signing in the winter transfer window – believed to be a creative midfielder – as well as a striker and defender should Nicolas Anelka and Alex depart.

Chelsea have lost three of their last four games across all competitions and are currently ten points adrift of leaders Manchester City in the Premier League.
