Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas says that he has held discussions regarding next season's "project" with "dedicated" owner Roman Abramovich.

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that he has spoken with owner Roman Abramovich about the Blues' "project" for next year.

Speculation has surrounded the future of the Portuguese coach following reports that the Russian billionaire visited Chelsea's Cobham training ground ahead of the Blues' 3-3 draw with Manchester United at the weekend for talks with the former Porto manager.

While the club claimed that the meeting was a "normal" occurrence, Villas-Boas has revealed some of the details from the discussion.

"[Roman Abramovich] watching training had a good impact," said Villas-Boas. "We spoke about the preparation for the game [against Manchester United]. Roman is always very interested about the running of events and it was good for the team to feel his presence.

"We touched a little bit, of course, on next year's project but mainly on the [United] game the day after. Roman is a very dedicated person to the cause of Chelsea football club, his aura is always present."

Chelsea travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton on Saturday.
