Rafa Benitez is allegedly out of the running for the Chelsea job.

Thousands of Blues supporters voiced their opposition to the appointment of the former Liverpool manager during Tuesday night's FA Cup tie against Birmingham City.

The Sun claims that the fan protests have influenced club officials to rule out the Spaniard as a potential successor to Andre Villas-Boas.

Villas-Boas was dismissed as Chelsea manager last weekend following a poor run of form, which left the club 20 points adrift of Premier League leaders Manchester City.
