Petr Cech tells Chelsea to 'clean up their mess'

Petr Cech tells Chelsea to 'clean up their mess' and book a place in the final of the League Cup after losing to League One side Bradford City in the FA Cup.

Petr Cech has rallied Chelsea to bounce back from their shock defeat at the hands of Bradford City by beating Liverpool to progress into the final of the League Cup.

The Blues bowed out of the FA Cup after losing their fourth-round tie 4-2 to the League One outfit at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

Jose Mourinho's side now turn their attention towards the second leg of their Capital One Cup semi-final on Tuesday, and Cech has called on his teammates to 'clean up their mess'.

"We need to take it on the chin and pick ourselves up," he told the club's official website.

"It's up to us. We have put ourselves in this position and we only have ourselves to blame for what happened.

"We play at home on Tuesday and we would like to use that as an advantage. We need to clean the mess up."

The two sides drew 1-1 in their first-leg encounter at Anfield last week.
