Chelsea have reportedly placed Ralf Rangnick on their list of potential replacements for Maurizio Sarri.
The Italian is allegedly on the brink of moving to Juventus, resulting in the Premier League side having to make plans for his possible departure.
Derby County boss Frank Lampard is said to be one of six names who are being considered by the Blues as they look to avoid a repeat of the uncertainty in the dugout ahead of last season.
However, according to Bild, Rangnick is now in the thoughts of club officials after his successful spell with RB Leipzig came to an end.
The 60-year-old stepped down from his role with the Bundesliga outfit in order to to take on a new role as head of sport and development soccer at Red Bull, although that may change should Chelsea make an approach.
The West Londoners are unlikely to make any move until Sarri's future is resolved.
