Marco Silva has reportedly emerged as a possible replacement for Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte.
At the start of 2018, Silva was removed from his position at Watford, with the Hornets suggesting that the Portuguese being linked with a switch to Everton had destabilised the first-team squad.
However, Silva remains highly thought of in English football and according to The Times, Chelsea will consider appointing him on a short-term deal if Conte exits Stamford Bridge.
The report claims that the Blues are currently against making changes in the dugout midway through the season, but their hand may be forced if Chelsea do not halt a run which has included three defeats in four matches.
In 48 matches with Hull City and Watford, Silva has recorded 16 wins and eight draws in all competitions.
