Cesc Fabregas hails "solid" Chelsea

Cesc Fabregas praises Chelsea for their "solid" performance during Sunday's win over former club Arsenal.

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has hailed his side for their "solid" performance during Sunday's win over Arsenal.

The Blues moved five points clear at the top of the Premier League table yesterday afternoon as goals from Eden Hazard and Diego Costa earned them a 2-0 victory against the Gunners.

Having beaten Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League in midweek, Fabregas is pleased that Chelsea were able to maintain their positive form by seeing off London rivals Arsenal.

"As a team we were solid and comfortable with the ball. We had difficult moments during the game but we solved them well," the Spaniard told the club's official website. "We wanted six points out of these two games at home and we did it so we can go home very happy."

Chelsea continue their league campaign on October 18 when they face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
