Frank Lampard eyes Chelsea record

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is eyeing up the club's all-time goalscoring record after moving to within 10 of Bobby Tambling's tally.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has admitted that he has one eye on the all-time scoring record at the club.

Lampard became the club's highest scorer in the top division during Chelsea's 8-0 thrashing of Aston Villa, adding two more to that tally against Everton yesterday.

The goals leave him 10 behind Bobby Tambling's all-time record of 202 but just one behind legendary striker Kerry Dixon, who sits in second place.

"I'm one behind the legend (Dixon) now but I am just happy two goals brought us the win [against Everton]," said Lampard.

Chelsea currently sit third in the Premier League table, 11 points behind league-leaders Manchester United with a game in hand.
