Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf believes that pressure will be on Roberto Di Matteo's job at Stamford Bridge if he does not add more silverware to the club's cabinets this season.

Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf believes that Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo could risk losing his job at Stamford Bridge if he does not bring more trophies to the West London club.

The former West Bromwich Albion coach, who led the Blues to FA Cup and Champions League glory last season, was appointed the permanent manager of the club earlier this summer.

"He is the coach of Chelsea and they need to win trophies every year or at least fight for that," BBC Sport quotes Leboeuf as saying.

"They are not the only challengers, there are seven clubs who could potentially win something and there are only four trophies overall."

Di Matteo's first competitive match of the season ended in defeat as Chelsea were beaten 3-2 by Manchester City in the Community Shield last Sunday.
