Jose Mourinho in no rush to sign new contract with Chelsea

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho insists that he is in no rush to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

Jose Mourinho has admitted that he is in no hurry to put pen to paper on a new contract with Chelsea, but insists that he wants to stay at Stamford Bridge.

Overnight, reports emerged claiming that the Portuguese coach is due to be offered a new four-year contract.

Mourinho's current terms do not expire until 2017, and the Premier League-winning manager has admitted that the possibility of signing a new contract is not at the forefront of his mind.

"I have two years of my contract, I want to stay," Mourinho said in this afternoon's press conference. "I'm not waiting for offers.

"I won't give any space for speculation or interest of other clubs. I want to stay, I don't want to go. I don't need a contract. My story is a non-story."

The 52-year-old returned to Chelsea for a second spell of management back in 2013.
