Jose Mourinho praises Loic Remy contribution

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho hails the impact Loic Remy has had at the club in recent weeks to keep his side ahead of the pack in the race for the Premier League title.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has praised the recent form of striker Loic Remy following his match-winning strike against Stoke City.

The Frenchman netted in the second half to fire the Blues to a 2-1 victory over Mark Hughes's men following up from his crucial goal against Hull City two weeks ago in his side's win at the KC Stadium.

Mourinho has hailed the attitude of the 28-year-old, who could feature prominently for the Premier League leaders in the coming weeks due to Diego Costa's hamstring injury.

"He's a great boy and his contribution for us is already crucial with these two match-winners in the last two matches," Mourinho told reporters.

"He trains fantastically well. He keeps himself in great condition to come to matches, even without many, many minutes to be ready for us, so I'm really pleased and everybody's pleased for him."

Remy has scored seven goals in 26 appearances for the Blues this season.
