Head coach Mauricio Pochettino insists that he is supportive of Chelsea's owners entering the dressing room after home fixtures.

Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that he has no issues with Chelsea's owners spending time in the dressing room after matches at Stamford Bridge.

Having endured a disappointing start to the new season, the Blues and Pochettino are each coming under constant scrutiny, a consequence of their extreme financial outlay over the past 15 months.

Chelsea have gone three matches without scoring in the Premier League, collecting just one point from fixtures against Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and Aston Villa.

After the 1-0 defeat to the latter on Sunday, co-owner Behdad Eghbali entered the dressing room and spoke with Pochettino and his squad.

In the past, fellow co-owner Todd Boehly has also spent time in the same area in the immediate aftermath of matches, regardless of the result.

Ahead of Chelsea's EFL Cup tie with Brighton & Hove Albion on Wednesday night, Pochettino was quizzed on how he felt about what is seemingly becoming a regular occurrence.

However, speaking to reports at a press conference, the Argentine has indicated that he is supportive of the interaction that occurs at the end of games.

Pochettino said, as quoted by football.london: "I like when the owners come. In all my career. I think it's good. The way in which they approach the players is most important.

"They came and shared with us, they also did it with Liverpool and Luton and Nottingham Forest. They came with Paul [Winstanley] and Laurence [Stewart], Behdad and sometimes Todd also and we talk about the game. I don't see in a bad way. For me it's good always if they share with us and come with the players. If they want a speech that is different.

"I think they are in a very good way and we are glad they shared time with us. When we win and it's good things, and to share when we are suffering like on Sunday."

However, Pochettino added: "It's not the job of the owner to come to the dressing room and to give a speech. They know very well how they have to behave."

Chelsea have recorded just two wins - against Luton Town and AFC Wimbledon respectively - in seven matches since their appointment of Pochettino.

Nevertheless, reports have suggested that Chelsea's owners have no intention of cutting short the project that is being headed by the former Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain boss.
