Brendan Rodgers says that he is ready for one of football's top jobs after an impressive season in charge of Swansea City.

Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers has said that he is confident about being able to succeed at a big club.

The Northern Irishman has recently been linked with the Tottenham Hotspur job, should Harry Redknapp take the England job.

Rodgers believes that he has what it takes to manage at the top level having worked with big names during his time as a coach at Chelsea.

"I had 4 and a half brilliant years working at Chelsea where I got a real feel of the challenge at that level," said the 39-year-old. "I wasn't a manager but I had to manage players like Ballack, Terry, Shevchenko and Lampard.

"It's not too soon professionally but it might be in terms of my personal life. It's been a big year and I need to reflect on it all.

"If that day ever comes, be it at 39 or 59, it won't be a case of me wondering whether I can work at that level."

Rodgers took over at the Liberty Stadium in July 2010.
