Chelsea skipper John Terry will play no part in his side's trip to Manchester City tomorrow night because of a suspected knee injury.

Chelsea captain John Terry will miss his side's trip to Manchester City tomorrow night.

The centre-back is believed to be suffering a knee injury, having only just returned from an operation to correct a problem in the affected area.

Despite not being able to play any part at the Etihad Stadium, interim coach Roberto Di Matteo expects to have his skipper back for the weekend's home fixture against Tottenham Hotspur.

"We almost have a fully fit squad for City game, only Romeu and Terry are out," Di Matteo told reporters.

"JT should be back for the Spurs match on Saturday."

Terry's absence could see Gary Cahill earn a place in starting lineup alongside either David Luiz or Branislav Ivanovic.
