Chelsea have reportedly identified Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni as a potential summer transfer target.
Thomas Tuchel currently has four central players at his disposal, while Mason Mount has also been used in that area of the pitch on a regular basis.
However, the recently-appointed Blues boss is keen to put his own stamp on the first-team squad at Stamford Bridge ahead of next season.
According to Goal, Chelsea could make a move for Tchouameni, who has emerged as a key man at Monaco.
The 21-year-old has made 41 appearances in all competitions this season, helping keep his club in contention for the Ligue 1 title.
The report claims that Monaco would be prepared to accept in the region of £34m for the France Under-21 international's signature, significantly higher than the £15.5m that they shelled out last year.
