Chelsea lead race to sign Swedish prospect Alexander Isak?

Chelsea reportedly lead the hotly-contested race to sign AIK Fotboll teenager Alexander Isak.

Chelsea have reportedly emerged as the frontrunners to sign AIK Fotboll teenager Alexander Isak.

Last month it was claimed that as many as 90 clubs were scouting the 17-year-old Swede, but in recent weeks it has been alleged that both Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus were preparing lucrative bids for the player.

However, according to ESPN, Chelsea are favourites to sign the youngster after they showed their intent to make an offer of €11m (£9.4m).

It had previously been claimed that Isak's club would not accept a bid below €15m (£12.8m), with it being suggested that Juventus had put up €16m (£13.7m) for the Swedish Under-21 international.

Isak has already scored 10 goals in Sweden's top flight.
