Chelsea reportedly lower their asking price for striker Armando Broja amid interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

Chelsea have reportedly lowered their asking price for striker Armando Broja amid interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

The 22-year-old is facing an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge as he has struggled for regular game time under head coach Mauricio Pochettino.

Broja has started just seven of his 17 appearances for the Blues across all competitions so far this season, six of which in the Premier League, and he has contributed with only two goals.

With Christopher Nkunku nursing a niggling hip injury and Nicolas Jackson away with Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations, Broja is currently the only natural centre-forward at Pochettino's disposal.

However, the Albania international has been tipped to leave Stamford Bridge this month amid interest from the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Fulham and West Ham United.

A recent report claims that Chelsea would only consider a possible sale of Broja if they received an offer of at least £50m.

However, according to The Sun, Chelsea are prepared to lower their asking price to £35m as long as they agree a loan deal with another club this month that includes an obligation to buy next summer.

A separate report from The Athletic claims that the West Londoners are willing to offload Broja this month, but a sale is considered unlikely at this stage.

Pochettino refused to rule out the possible departure of Broja this month when speaking at a press conference on Monday ahead of Chelsea's EFL Cup semi-final second-leg with Middlesbrough on Tuesday.

"At the moment, there is no news," said Pochettino. "We cannot update in any way. It's all so quiet and I think it's a good thing because we are working really well and there are no surprises. There is no news about players who can leave or come in."

It remains unknown as to whether Broja himself would be willing to part ways with Chelsea, where he is under contract until the summer of 2028.

However, Broja is expected to be pushed further down the pecking order if the Blues splash the cash on a new centre-forward this year, with Napoli's Victor Osimhen and Brentford's Ivan Toney among their long-term targets.
