Liverpool are reportedly facing a challenge to keep hold of vice-captain Jordan Henderson, with Chelsea keeping tabs on the player's contract talks.
Henderson's contract with the Reds is set to expire at the end of next season, but the former Sunderland midfielder is believed to have turned down a new deal worth £80,000 a week to stay at Anfield.
According to the Daily Star, much of Liverpool's focus has been on negotiations with Raheem Sterling over extending his stay with the Merseyside club.
While Liverpool's hierarchy are thought to be planning more talks with Henderson in the coming weeks, Chelsea are now monitoring his situation closely.
The 24-year-old scored a late penalty in Liverpool's 4-1 defeat at Arsenal on Saturday.
