Sevilla sign Gael Kakuta from Chelsea

Chelsea confirm that they have reached an agreement for the transfer of Gael Kakuta with Sevilla.

La Liga outfit Sevilla have reached an agreement with Chelsea for the permanent transfer of Frenchman Gael Kakuta.

The winger joined Chelsea as a 16-year-old in 2007 from Lens and finished his first season in London as the club's top youth scorer.

He made his debut for the first team in 2009, but failed to become a regular for the Blues and has since had several loan spells around Europe.

Last season he spent the entire campaign with Rayo Vallecano in La Liga, scoring five goals in 35 appearances for the Madrid outfit.

In total, the 23-year-old turned out 16 times for Chelsea, but never scored a goal for the Blues.
