Sevilla closing in on Gael Kakuta?

Sevilla are just "hours away" from completing the signing of Chelsea winger Gael Kakuta, according to president Jose Castro.

Chelsea winger Gael Kakuta will complete a move to Sevilla on Tuesday, according to the La Liga club's president.

Since his controversial transfer in 2008, Kakuta has spent as many as seven loan spells away from Stamford Bridge, the last of which saw him make 35 appearances for Rayo Vallecano last season.

However, with his contract due to expire next month, it appears as though he will find a new home at Sevilla, who will feature in next season's Champions League after their triumph in the Europa League in May.

Jose Castro told the club's official website: "Kakuta is very close and I think we will be able to confirm it in the next few hours."

If a transfer is confirmed, Kakuta will depart West London having made five starts and 11 substitute appearances for the Blues.
