Chelsea midfielder Raul Meireles is in talks with Turkish side Fenerbahce over a potential move.
A statement on Fenerbahce's official website confirmed that they had informed the stock market over negotiations with Meireles, who only joined Chelsea from Liverpool on deadline day last season.
Despite the English transfer window now being closed, Fenerbahce could still complete the deal as their window doesn't close until midnight on Wednesday.
The Turkish giants have reportedly offered £8m for the player, who has fallen behind the likes of Frank Lampard, John Obi Mikel and Oscar in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
Meireles, 29, made 45 appearances for Chelsea last season, playing as part of the side that won the FA Cup, but missing out on the Champions League final through suspension.
