Napoli reportedly prepare to lodge a summer bid for Chelsea defender David Luiz.

Napoli are allegedly keen to sign Chelsea defender David Luiz this summer.

The Italian side's new head coach Carlo Ancelotti is planning to raid his former club to snap up the Brazilian, according to La Repubblica.

Luiz struggled to hold down first-team football at Chelsea last season and has been tipped to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, with his former club Benfica touted as a potential destination.

Ancelotti is said have added the defender to his shopping list, along with Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal.

Luiz made just four appearances for Chelsea last term.
