Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso is reportedly close to signing a one-year contract extension at the Bernabeu.
The Spain international had been linked with a possible departure following reported interest from Chelsea, Juventus and AC Milan.
However, it appears that the former Liverpool star will agree new terms with the Spanish giants, which will include the option of a further year, according to El Confidencial.
The 31-year-old recently returned to action following a four-month stint on the sidelines with injury.
