Roma have tabled a £25m bid for Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma, according to reports.
Zouma, 20, joined from Saint-Etienne in 2012 but found himself used sparingly by Jose Mourinho last term, with Gary Cahill partnering John Terry in central defence.
The Frenchman, who also plugged gaps in midfield, is Giallorossi coach Rudi Garcia's number one transfer target, according to The Mirror.
However, the Italian side, who finished second behind Juventus in Serie A last term, would settle for a loan deal if a permanent move cannot be facilitated, the report claims.
Zouma, who joined the Blues for £12m, made 26 appearances last season.
