Oriol Romeu inks three-year Chelsea extension

Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu signs a three-year contract extension which will tie him to Stamford Bridge until 2017.

Oriol Romeu has pledged his future to Chelsea by signing a new three-year extension at Stamford Bridge today.

The Spanish midfielder, 22, spent last season on loan with La Liga outfit Valencia after struggling to hold down a first-team place with the Blues in recent years.

However, Romeu now looks poised to fight for his place in Jose Mourinho's side next season after signing an extension which will keep him in West London until 2017.

The former Barcelona youth product made his Chelsea debut in 2011.
