Chelsea captain John Terry reportedly hints that teammate Frank Lampard is due to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Chelsea captain John Terry has fuelled speculation that teammate Frank Lampard is on his way out of Stamford Bridge.

The England midfielder comes to the end of his current deal at the West London club in the summer and has been touted as a possible departure with MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy being named as a potential destination.

Lampard's agent Steve Kutner was quoted as saying that the 34-year-old is "certain" to leave the Blues at the end of the season but he swiftly denied making such claims.

Terry, who is currently sidelined with a knee injury, is believed to have posted a photo of the duo on his Instagram account with the caption: "Devastated is an understatement. We should retire the number 8 shirt in honour of Lamps."

The former England captain later added a photo of Lampard celebrating last season's Champions League victory with the comment: "I have seen franks agents quotes on sky yesterday. That's all I'm going on nothing more."

Lampard is in his 12th year at the Premier League club.
