Chelsea striker Fernando Torres would be open to a return to Spain, according to a report.

Fernando Torres would like to return to Spain should he leave Chelsea, according to a report.

The Spanish forward has been linked with a move to Barcelona, with speculation persisting that new boss Jose Mourinho wants to sell the 29-year-old.

Torres has stated his desire to remain at Stamford Bridge, but according to the London Evening Standard, he would be happy to return to former side Atletico Madrid if Mourinho informs him that he is not part of his plans.

The former Liverpool player has scored 34 goals in 131 appearances for Chelsea.
