Chievo and Cagliari played out a 0-0 draw in Serie A with neither side creating a good enough chance to take the points.

Cagliari started brightly, with Marco Sau testing Christian Puggioni low down with a second-minute effort.

Isaac Cofie for Chievo had their first effort on goal in the sixth minute, but his strike from outside the box went wide.

The chances dried up in the middle part of the first half, but Boukary Drame came close to scoring for Chievo; however, his shot from inside the box was saved.

In the second half Luca Rossettini went for goal from just outside the box but got his attempt all wrong and the ball went harmlessly over.

With the match drawing to a close, Cagliari looked more likely to find the winner, but Davide Astori's shot from an angle in the box could not quite find the target.

Neither side were able to break the deadlock and the points were shared.
