Daniel Pranjic to undergo treatment ahead of World Cup

The Croatia Football Federation reveal that Daniel Pranjic will need to undergo treatment on his injured ankle ahead of the World Cup.

Croatia defender Daniel Pranjic will be forced to undergo treatment on his ankle just days before the World Cup gets underway.

The 32-year-old picked up the foot injury in his country's recent friendly victory against Australia to become a doubt for the tournament.

"Danijel Pranjic has a left ankle sprain and will undergo treatment during the upcoming days," the Croatian Football Federation revealed in a statement.

Croatia begin their campaign on Thursday night when they take on hosts Brazil in the opening game.
