Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has reportedly identified Lille defender Ibrahim Amadou as a potential signing during January.
Hodgson has guided Palace away from the relegation zone in the Premier League, with just one defeat being recorded since November 5.
However, a serious knee injury to Scott Dann has led to Hodgson having to make his move during the transfer window, and it appears that the former England coach has acted quickly to try to find a replacement.
According to The Sun, an offer of £13m will be made for Amadou, who has started 17 matches in Ligue 1 during the current campaign.
The 24-year-old extended his contract to 2020 earlier this year, but the Cameroonian centre-back is said to relish the chance to play in England.
