Former Deportivo La Coruna midfielder Fran admits that the club is going through its worst period.

Former Deportivo La Coruna midfielder Fran has admitted that this season is the lowest point in the club's history.

Deportivo currently sit rock-bottom of La Liga and are on a run of five consecutive defeats without a win since the start of January.

Fran said that he is unsure what the solution is and that the future looks bleak for Depor.

"No doubt, this is the worst period in the club's history," Marca quotes Fran as saying.

"We will see what the future holds, but things look really bleak. I do not know the solution.

"I think there must be an internal investigation to look at what does not work and the changes that need to be made."

Fran made 550 league appearances for the club between 1988 and 2005.
