Doncaster Rovers manager Darren Ferguson has claimed that his team were "really unlucky" to have been knocked out of the FA Cup by Stoke City in the third round this afternoon.
The League One outfit held their own against the Potters and managed to equalise in the first half thanks to a goal from Nathan Tyson.
However, Jonathan Walters ended hopes of a result for Doncaster when he struck in the 57th minute to seal a 2-1 win for the Potters.
After the game at the Keepmoat Stadium, Ferguson was quoted by the club's official Twitter page as saying: "Really unlucky, some great chances. The fans were fantastic. We hope they come back for more.
"This is a very good club. The potential is huge. We worked very hard and if we play like that every week we will win games. We've had a couple of chances with Andy Butler at the end but in the cups you don't get a second chance and you have to take them."
In the league, Doncaster are currently 12th in the table after 25 games.
